The Little Things
The small things that happen day by day are often forgotten. Some of my favorite things that get me excited could be insignificant to others… like the having my pup ask for some love as she did now, the smell of coffee brewing (for the second time today), the change of colors on the willows, smelling the wildflowers, sharing a smile with a stranger, little raindrops on a piece of grass… I could go on, really.
Those things are significant to me. I look for them to brighten my day. As someone who has experienced great sadness, those are things I want to find and love deeply. It makes life so much brighter. There is so much more to love than just the big stuff.
Life is flying by since the birth of Karmin. Three years have gone by so very fast. Too fast. I’ve come across this journal called Promptly Journals while pregnant with Jaiden. I’m pleased to have it to write down those little details happening day by day that I will want to remember when they are grown.
I wanted to look back on how I felt, or those little moments that will be significant when Karmin has outgrown saying things so cute in her toddler way.
The way Jaiden's hair sticks up after a bath, her tiny toes and fingers and her peach fuzz.
I want to be able to remember the way Jaiden coo’s and remember the way I survive on naps and eat PB&J’s during the night while she nurses.
If you are like me and want to write down these memories, here is the link to their Facebook page:
